Since 2005 "Ai Fiori" Restaurant is run by Vlada and Stane Puzzer, wine-tasters and chefs of Slovenian origin as well as authoritative names of the new wave in the city cuisine. The past experience includes: La boutique del pesce at Contovello, le Rondinelle in Trieste, La Tavernetta at Capriva (Gorizia) and Harry's Grill in Trieste. In a word: Trieste-style fish recipes using freshly caught fish. Specialities: fennel puree with shrimps and raw fish, according to season. The former president of the Italian Republic, Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, has also been served by Vlada and Stane. The establishment is elegant and cozy, not far from the sea front, and has a Mittel European atmosphere. Where to eat
