The restaurant serves fish caught in the Gulf of Trieste and is just a short walk from Miramare Castle. Founded in 1954 by late Boris Žerjal, the establishment is now run by wife Nada and son Andrea. Visitors arriving from the coastal road or the East (Slovenia, Croatia, etc.) enjoy stopping at this restaurant where the light floods in through its large windows overlooking the sea. Pope John Paul II also dined here.
Among its specialties: Sissi-style dumplings, health salad... all served from the traditional starters trolley. Slovenian, Croatian and Serbian are also spoken here, in addition to Italian. Where to eat
