Do you know "potíca"? Have you ever tasted "šelinka"? What about savouring some "štruklji" or having a taste of fragrant bread? The Carso area invites you to discover its aromas in autumn or any season. Once again, the restaurants and shops affiliated to the Slovenian Regional Economic Union of Friuli Venezia Giulia are launching their food & wine initiative dedicated to typical recipes, local wines, cultural and artistic events as well as the promotion of typical products in restaurants, bakeries and groceries.
After the traditional period of this event (from October 15th to November 6th 2011), bookings will be accepted for small or large groups and local products will be still on sale… This year marks the 10th anniversary of the event which will focus on pork specialities and sausages.
Here is this year’s brochure with all the menus, as well as the list of producers of the “typical product corner”: high quality wines (Malvasia, Teran, Vitovska, Glera) extra-virgin olive oil, genuine cheese, honey of the Carso region.
